I know a lot of people dress down for Thanksgiving (I’m looking at you Miss. Leggings-and-a-sweater) so I’m offering up a little bit of plus size festive inspiration. Give the casuals a hard pass this year and step it up! If you’re not sure what to wear for Thanksgiving this year, here’s my take on a perfect Thanksgiving outfit.

This would be a great look for meeting the boyfriend’s parents for the first time – or going home for Thanksgiving after months of casual classes while you studied away – or even, a quiet evening at home with some close friends while you carve a turkey.
My favorite part of this outfit are the tights. These are from Jessica London, and I don’t think I’ve ever owned such a quality pair of tights! They’re just the right amount of thick and sheer with a super chic pattern. Paired with their fit and flare red lace dress… I can’t even.
Also, if you’re looking for a bit of table inspiration, here’s what my table looks like – ripe with fall leaves and bright, warm colors, all paired with gold flatware and metallic chargers. All that’s missing is a nice bottle of Riesling!
